Gabrielle Meyer's Experience as a Therapist

I take an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that each individual brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals to the counseling process. With more than 20 years of experience across a variety of professional settings, I am dedicated to providing high-quality care while maintaining a warm, approachable, and down-to-earth style.

My therapeutic approach most often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, while drawing from other evidence-based practices as needed. I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, and specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, relationship challenges, stress, and difficulties with coping and emotional regulation. I also have extensive experience helping parents and caregivers address behavioral concerns in children and adolescents.

My professional background includes work in elementary and high schools, transition programs, residential and foster care settings, and community mental health. Throughout my career, I have provided individual, group, and family therapy services.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Social Work, and hold a Type 73 School Social Worker certification.

Specialties: ADD & ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, Family Conflicts, Grief and Loss, Parenting Difficulties, Personal Growth, Relationship Issues, Self-Awareness, Stress Management, Workplace Challenges, Mindfulness
